Inventory Control Coordinator

NATURE AND SCOPE:


Reporting to the Materials Control Manager, the incumbent is responsible for Plant I Job Closing, coordinating the daily cycle counts and cycle count meetings, monitoring and analyzing inventory accuracy, and inventory value.  

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

  • Cost and close all completed internal work orders;
  • Transact material cost corrections and transfers;
  • Monitor and review inventory value;
  • Receive all Purchase Orders for services and dropped shipped material;
  • Work with purchasing to correct problem purchase orders;
  • Work as a member of cross functional teams to modify and/or create new standard operating procedures for Materials Management;
  • Monitor and review daily and monthly inventory accuracy results;
  • Investigate negative inventory values;
  • Monitor non-nettable locations;
  • Receive Vendor Managed Inventory items into M2M (ERP System);
  • Dispatch small pickups and deliveries to the parts truck;
  • Hold daily inventory meetings, and ensure that all variances are thoroughly investigated and all transactions are processed
  • Identifies root causes and trends of problems in area; communicate information to Manager and initiates action plan to resolve issues.
  • Maintaining the Inventory Location System

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: 

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Computer literate, proficient in the use of MSOffice products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience in working with an ERP system (Made2Manage, JD Edwards)
  • APICS certificate (CPIM, CIRM) or working toward certification
  • Four years manufacturing experience, including two years functional leadership.
  • Possess effective leadership skills.
